Zane Ferreira Director - International Services

Zane Ferreira joined Mazars in 2016 after completing his studies to become a chartered accountant. He is based out of Mazars in Gqeberha and leads audit teams in the audit of operating entities in the industrial, retail and transport sector.

Experience

His previous roles included being a Junior Manager and an Audit Supervisor in 2017 at Mazars in the Netherlands. He has been involved in the audits of large and listed multinationals in the industrial, fashion retail, IT and oil & gas sector.

In September 2018, he was appointed the lead IFRS expert of Mazars in the Netherlands and head of the IFRS technical department. In this role, he was responsible for internal functions such as audit technical support, review of financial statements and providing IFRS technical training to senior staff.

Zane returned to Mazars in South Africa and took up the position of national IFRS manager working with teams from Gqeberha. He was appointed as the service line leader of MIS in January 2022. His duties range from designing and implementing an internal control framework, defining business processes, business development, recruitment, budgeting and forecasting, managing client relationships, training new staff into managerial roles etc.
