Experience

Wihann began his professional journey with Mazars in 2009, starting as an undergraduate SAICA trainee accountant. His academic journey was marked by the achievement of his Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA). 

Wihann's impressive career achievements were further acknowledged when he was selected as SAICA Top 35 under 35 finalist in 2017.

Expanding his global perspective, Wihann spent time in France, accruing valuable international experience with Mazars. His dedication and professional growth resulted in his promotion to Senior Audit Manager. As an audit team leader, he successfully managed the operational effectiveness of a team of approximately 40 trainee accountants.

Upon his advancement to the role of Director, Wihann took on additional responsibilities, including overseeing the operations of Mazars Academy. During his tenure, he demonstrated his entrepreneurial drive by establishing a new start-up for Mazars, Upskill Studios (Pty) Ltd., which he continues to lead as the company evolves and grows.

In his innovative capacity, Wihann serves as the head of the Technology and Innovation Department at Mazars in South Africa. He collaborates closely with the Mazars executive committee to ensure the effective deployment of strategic innovation projects across the firm.

In his current position as Audit Partner, Wihann is entrusted with the management of a diverse portfolio of audit clients. His professional journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to Mazars and his pursuit of excellence in his field.
