Theeban Gangen Partner - Audit

Theeban joined Mazars in Cape Town in 2010 as an article trainee and after qualifying in January 2013, he went on secondment in New York where he was exposed to clients within the shipping and mining industry.   

Upon his return to Mazars in Cape Town in April 2013, he was promoted to Supervisor in September 2013 where he spent 6 months in this role before being promoted to Manager in March 2014. Theeban was then promoted to Senior Manager in September 2016. A year later Theeban was then promoted to partner in September 2017.

He currently serves as a partner in the audit department servicing a wide variety of clients.

Experience

Theeban has over 6 years’ experience within the auditing profession in various sectors and specialises in auditing and consulting services to a diverse range of owner-managed businesses and subsidiaries of listed entities, with a focus on the manufacturing, retail, wholesale, leisure, travel and coaching, commercial investment property and professional services industries manager.

His responsibilities include but are not limited to managing audit teams and reviewing audit work.

He is also very active in providing training to staff on various levels and represents our Learning & Development department at various training sessions.
