Nicola Thelander Partner
Nicola completed her Accounting Degree (B.Acc) at the University of Stellenbosch. She then obtained her Honours Degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of South Africa and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 2009.
Experience
She joined Mazars in 2008 in the Audit Department, where she gained experience in a variety of sectors, including international experience working abroad in the Audit department of Mazars New York and held the position of Senior Audit Manager until September 2017.
In October 2017 she also joined the Tax Compliance Department as Senior Manager, and took on the role of managing the day-to-day function of the department along with her portfolio of audit clients.
In September 2019 she was promoted to Partner of Mazars in Cape Town and Tax Compliance Department, and is currently the Head of Department of the Tax Compliance Department in Cape Town.
Her clients range from privately held businesses to large owner-managed businesses.

Nicola is a qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 10 years’ commercial experience, which includes Audit and Tax. Her strong accounting and audit background enables her to understand clients’ financial and tax systems and advise on weaknesses and suggested changes or improvements thereto.
