Nico Jansen Partner - Audit

Nico joined Mazars in 2009 and serves as a Partner in the Audit division. 

Experience

Nico completed his Bachelor of Accounting at Stellenbosch in 2007 and his Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science at UNISA in 2010. Nico registered as a CA (SA) in May 2014. 

He served his articles of traineeship at Mazars until 2011 after which he was promoted to audit senior, supervisor, manager, senior manager and subsequently Partner.  

He went on secondment to Singapore at the beginning of 2014 and served as an audit senior.

Nico’s responsibilities include supervising the audit team, reviewing audit work, training staff and completing the audit within the prescribed deadline

 He has experience in various industries enabling him to learn various skills and competencies enabling him to serve a large range of clients.  His clients range from large listed entities to large owner managed groups.  Industries include construction and building materials and property investments (including Real Estate Investment Trusts).

Nico has experience in auditing clients involved in the following sectors/industries:

• Micro-financing;
• Services (Fleet management, consulting services);
• Retail;
• Manufacturing;
• Transport.

Nico is also heading up the implementation of data analytics project.
